Introducing ME!

I'm new to this whole blogging thing so it may not be fancy but hopefully it will be interesting to some people. I thought I would start off by introducing myself a little bit.

My name is Ericka and I am 27 years old. I have been married to my husband for a little over 9 years and I have a 7 year old son. My dad was in the Navy for 24 years but luckily we were able to stay in San Diego, CA from the time I was about 5 until I got married and moved away. I met my husband while he was in the Navy and we got married after only 5 months of dating. I was 19 when we had our son. After he got out of the military we moved to Reno, NV where he is originally from, after about 2 years we decided to move to Texas where my extended family is all from. After having my son my body never really went back to normal and after trying for almost four years I was convinced I was not going to be able to get pregnant again, at least not without the help of fertility treatments which we really could not afford. After finally accepting this I made the decision to focus on getting my health back to where I was before I had my son. I started working out and eating right and I started seeing a lot of changes in both my physical appearance and my attitude then it stopped. I made an appointment to see what was going on and low and behold, 8 years after becoming pregnant with my son, I was pregnant again. We are all very excited, especially my son who has been asking for a sibling for the last couple of years. I have always had an interest in health and wellness of both the body and mind and recently my family is starting to come around and accept the things that I have been trying to share with them for years. I hope to learn a lot from this class and from the other people taking this class. Like I said I am new to blogging but I think this is a really cool idea to learn from others in the class and to share a little about my experiences as well. I look forward to learning about everyone and I hope you find what I have to say interesting as well.
